ACF
ACF fields ContentLatch supports in V1—scalar types, Group, Repeater, Flexible Content, and Clone—plus Free vs Pro requirements and unsupported types.
ContentLatch requires Advanced Custom Fields 6.0+ (Free or Pro). ACF is a hard runtime dependency: without it, field integrations do not boot.

Supported scalar types
- Text, Textarea, Number, Range
- Email, URL, Password
- WYSIWYG
- Select (single only), Radio, Button Group, True/False
- Date Picker, Date Time Picker
- Color Picker
Multi-select Select fields are not supported.
Supported structures
ContentLatch catalogues scalar leaves inside supported structures. Containers themselves are not selectable in the Rule Builder.

Field keys and the Rule Builder
ContentLatch identifies ACF fields by their ACF field keys (field_…). The Rule Builder lists fields that:
- Belong to a field group assigned to the selected post type
- Resolve to a supported scalar type
- Sit in a supported structure path
If a field is missing from the builder, check post type assignment, Free vs Pro requirements, and whether the type or nesting path is outside V1.
Unsupported in V1
Examples of types and combinations ContentLatch intentionally does not support:
- Relationship, Post Object, Page Link, Taxonomy, User
- Checkbox, Gallery, Image, File, Link, Google Map, oEmbed
- Multi-select Select
- Deeper than two Repeater levels
- Repeater → Group
- Repeater inside Flexible Content
- Nested Flexible Content / Flex inside Repeater or Group
- Clone → Clone, Clone → Repeater, Clone → Flexible Content
Requirements reminder
WordPress Core fields do not depend on ACF field types, but ContentLatch still requires ACF 6.0+ to be installed and active for the plugin to operate. See Installation.
